The Tsunami Imaging Suite is developed, marketed and supported by Tsunami Development, a Houston, Texas based company. Tsunami Development was formed in 2000 with the goal of developing prestack migration software designed and optimized to take full advantage of the low cost Linux cluster technology. This meant writing software code from scratch and not recompiling existing code (shared-memory mainframes) to run in a Linux cluster as so many companies have done. This exercise resulted in a unique new data handling I/O method that has since been awarded a worldwide patent by the United States Patent Office. It is our superior software coding and patented I/O method that is giving our clients significantly superior performance and high quality migration results today.

By combining our technology and expertise with that of our business partners, we have created an easy-to-use, leading edge solution for imaging prestack seismic data. Our business strategy is to focus on what we do best, building migration software, and join forces with other technology leaders to provide the best prestack seismic imaging software suite. Today, our business partners include: Halliburton/Landmark Graphics who is our representative in Russia/Eurasia, Interactive Network Technologies (INT) providing user interface and display capabilities; S2S Systems LLC, presently building an easy-to-use and learn 2D/3D velocity analysis and modeling software package; and IBM, where we have completed the port of our software to IBM's Blue Gene™ supercomputer that can house 2,048 cpu’s in a single rack and scales to more than 125,000 cpu’s. Our software is the only commercially available software that runs on this supercomputer.

Our customers include both oil companies and seismic processing companies on three continents. With our user community growing everyday and 1,000’s of CPU’s now licensed, the Tsunami Imaging software has proven to be easy-to-use, reliable, accurate and FAST.
