Prestack Time Migrations

2D/3D Kirchhoff Prestack

TIME Migration Software

PSTM is a Kirchhoff based prestack time migration. It can be run using either straight ray or curved ray travel times. The curved ray travel times can use either the 6th order NMO equation, or the Eikonal method to calculate the travel times. The migration will image beyond ninety degrees, which will allow the use of turning waves to image salt overhangs. PSTM can image from a fixed datum or a floating datum/topography as your project requires.

With PSTM you have complete control of the output you can generate. You can select the inlines and crosslines (xlines) you wish to output, and the offset ranges and increments.

You have the ability to specify the migration aperture as a function of time, and the output frequency as a function of time. These specifications can greatly reduce the runtime of the jobs, and it tells the software what dips and frequencies are really needed by your particular job.

Time and Depth Migrations
• Amplitude preserving
• Adjustable three-point anti-alias filter
• Capable of imaging beyond 90 degrees
• User can define aperture as a function of time/depth
• Aperture function can vary with inline or crossline
• Sophisticated trace weighting to compensate for irregular acquisition
• Can automatically match the shape of the output area to the input area saving run time when   imaging irregular land surveys
• User can adjust output frequency as a function of time/depth to improve performance.
• User can select traces to migrate based on azimuth of source/receiver locations
• Input data can be sorted in any order
• Reads FOCUS® and SeisUP® formats as well as SEGY data formats
• Reads SEGY velocity files
• Straight ray or curved ray travel times
• Curved ray travel times can use either 6th order NMO or Eikonal methods.
• Automatically calculates the higher order NMO terms from RMS velocities
